Mallku Expeditions is a local company which offers adventure tourism in Mendoza and along The Andes chain in Argentina. The company has an experience for more than 20 years offering expeditions to the Aconcagua.
Victor Herrera is the founder of the company and he excels as a Professional Mountain Guide (Register number 0011 of the EPGAMT-Provincial School of High Mountain and Trekking Guides).
He was also founder and president of the Andinist Rescue Group of Mendoza, founder member of the Mendoza Association of High Mountain and Trekking Professionals Guides and founder member of the Chamber of Aconcagua Provincial Park Services Lenders.
He is enabled to rescue in mountain with helicopter. From 1989 to the present, he has participated in many searches and rescues in Aconcagua.
Victor Herrera has ascended 20 times the summit of the Aconcagua for different routes, excelling in the first World record in solitary and ascending in a day the Polish Glacier.
He has also climbed, with different difficulty technique, in The Andes Chain, Himalaya (Nepal) and Karakorum (Pakistan).
He took part in the Expedition "Argentineans to Himalaya" in honour to the first Argentinean expedition to ascend the Dhaulagiri (8.167 m.a.s.l). He succeeded in getting the summit on May 14th of 2004.
Nowadays, his large professional experience as a climber and mountain guide combined with his management of the company , he offers different programs of adventure tourism and expeditions to high mountains. The organization of the services, the coordination of the staff of guides and the respect for the environment, everything is planned down to the smallest detail.
